Our family just got back from a magnificent family reunion at Brattleboro North KOA in East Dummerston, Vermont. This Kampgrounds of America campground is located in Southern Vermont, and an easy 1-1/2 hour drive for all the relatives to make in a day trip.

Now that spring has sprung, even if you don’t think you have a green thumb, anybody can try to create a garden. Condo or apartment denizens living in dollhouse size living quarters can create a Garden of Eden if there’s a balcony, deck or lanai area. A little creative idea is all you need and you can have a container garden to be proud of.

It’s spring in New England, and if any food stuff is representative of the Northeast, it’s Maple Syrup. But did you know that Maple Syrup is also produced in New York State? I had the opportunity to attend the Annual Maple Sugaring Weekends event at Cumming Nature Center in Naples, NY over the past weekend to learn how pure maple syrup is made.
