Pierogi are a traditional Polish Christmas dish, especially on Christmas Eve. They’re also known as croquettes or Polish dumplings. I learned to make pirogi from my mom and my aunts, and have passed the cooking skill and holiday tradition down to my youngest daughter.

My daughter and charming son-in-law were married in Stowe, Vermont. Their Vermont wedding photographer knew of a covered bridge and their wedding photos were taken Emily’s covered bridge. The wedding was held in an Inn in Vermont and we came up with a DIY unique wedding idea for wedding placards to assign seating for dinner at their wedding reception using antique postcards.
