Lavender Pond Farm
It was a beautiful day, we couldn't have asked for more perfect beach weather. The trip to Lavender Pond Farm took about 15 minutes from Hammonassett State Park. Using our GPS, we traveled along gorgeous tree shaded back roads and arrived at the farm.
The first thing my little granddaughter wanted to see were the chickens and roosters. There was also an old fashion swing hanging from an old tall tree, but we didn't get a chance to try it out.
Outside the shop were an assortment of unique artistic garden ornaments.
The inside of the small shop held an assortment of all natural Lavender products, many made on site. There were sachets, soaps, bath salts, lip balm, body lotions, soy candles and teas. You can find a lovely selection of French Country home decor items, handmade dolls and handmade kitchen accessories for gifts or for yourself !
We took a walk in the lovely Lavender gardens where my granddaughter enjoyed smelling the plants, and I could just imagine I was in Lavender fields in France, except I was in New England !
Our mother - daughter day trip was so much fun, we'll have to do it again !
